lithium AA in ROP

has any tried energizer lithium AA in 6AA ROP? How does it work?

i wanna buy some lithiums as back up but don't wanna burn up $20 only to find out it doesn't work well.

I got some cheap CR-V3, took it apart, inside are 2x AA size Li primaries at 3v each. I put it in my 6x AA (18 v total) Hotwire Mag with a 12V bulb.

The results were dissapointing. No noticeable brigthness increase vs 12x regular 1.5v AA.

6xAA NiMH is already overdriving the ROP bulb. L91's would most likely instaflash it.

I don't think lithium AAs are suited for 4 amp loads (but I could be wrong), I think this would be unsafe.

even if it is safe...it'll get very costly in the long run, it only takes one unbalanced cell to
