I finally found the USB connector for my digicam. So here is a review.
The LongBow micra is A 1x123 light with HA III. Its optic is a carclo (spelling?) 6 degree optic I think. It has a 1 watt luxeon that is in a sort of pod that screws into the body. Here are some pictures and beamshots. please excuse the bad quality.
Here is the Micra dissasembled.

From left to right: Head, body, battery, tailcap (with Ti clip), and luxeon module.
It even does candle mode.
Here is the Micra next to some common lights and objects. From left to right: AA batt., CR123 batt., Micra, Micro Mag, X5, Mini Mag.
Front view in same order.
Heres a beamshot of the Micra (stock) about 2 ft away from my wall.
Beamshot of MiniMag (same distance) Strangely, my camera sort of color adjusted itself. When I aimed it at the mag beamshot, it turned from yellow, to white. Oh well.
Here is the X5 beamshot. Its kinda brighter in the pic than in real life.
Here is the Micra with SO17XA reflector. No UCL.
Here is the Micro Mag with MadMax.
Overall, I like the Micra. I am not such a spilly guy, and the beam is large and intense. I think I am going to enjoy upgrading this light with 2 AA eco pack, booster head, etc. Now about its regulation and electronics. The Micra seems to run about an hour and 20 minutes, but this varies due to the Lux Lottery and apparently, what I call the Runtime lottery. when people described the Micra's electronics as "bad" it was because when the Micra was on a low battery, it would have to rest for a few seconds before turning on again. This isnt too troubling because it doesnt shut off while turned on. But sometimes, the resting times are a bit frustrating to deal with. As the Battery depletes even more, the rest times are even longer.
Conclusions: Can this be called the first flashlight review ever written by a 12 year old? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
This review wouldnt have been possible without
KSBman: I recieved this light during his "Christmas gifts" event. SALUTE TO MR KEITH.
Amandotech: He provided the batteries which was a great addition to our gifts. THANK YOU!!
Chop: He knows. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
FreeFall8: He knows too. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
