Hi everyone,
I'm in the process to buy a flashlight but to be honnest, I'm a complete newbie and this is a jungle market. So much choice :sick2:
That's why I decided to ask you guys. It's gonna save me some addicts and time.
Basically, I'm looking at a light with
-external batteries (18650 if possible)
-price between 300-400usd
-Heat is a bit a concern. I don't want a "hot" flashlight so I guess LED would be best choice ?

But what's really important :
-narrow flood
-narrow throw
I really need a beam that goes far and that doesn't spill. I made some research (I didn't spend hours on this :naughty:) and so far I've seen the fenix TK61 that could match. But if I could get a light that goes over 800meters++, even better !

Anyone could give me advise/suggestion on a flashlight like this ???

Thanks so much
Best

Welcome to CPF!!!
Go to the modders section and look at some of Vinh's lights. Got questions? ask in his forum. Throw is his speciality!
$300-$400, you got LOTSA options!

Thanks everyone for sharing your knowledge :grin2:

Ven, http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/...r-Lux-Readings is a very, very interesting link. Just to confirm, flashlight xsearchervn is the one from dereelight (then modified by Vinh), correct ?
I am just amazed by this one. Not very powerfull but it's like there's no light at all that spill out of the beam!!! oh my... that's exactly what I could be looking for.

Does anyone have experience with this one ?
