Hey all!

I've been a medium flashlight enthusiast for a while. I've had lights such as Quark, Olight, and Fenix. They've been great and I have no major complaints with them.

Now, I kinda want something a little more unique to carry. I'm not sure if "custom" is the right word, since I don't really know what I'd customize... But something a little more "show off" or collectible.

My only real requirement is something on the smaller side for pocket carry.

Any recommendations?

I carry a Hoku most days. While none of those are in stock right now, this might fit your bill

Here's mine next to a Zebra for reference

Maybe one of McGizmo's offerings? The Haiku is often considered the benchmark in high end EDC

Some other popular options-

CWF Mini Arc - small and bright, but not able to sustain it's brightness for long due to its small size
Okluma DC0- not as bright as a Mini Arc but much more sustainable

I usually carry an Elzetta Alpha Gen3, but that might not meet your qualifications of aesthetics or high cost, but it's definitely 'premium' (by my definition), and the functionality meets my needs. You aren't giving people much info here;-). If you could elaborate a bit on the types of performance / features of your current light(s) that you'd like to retain with your new one, or other requirements in general, that would narrow things down considerably.

Welcome to the forum!;-)

A Reylight Lanapple in polished Ti or zirconium makes a beautiful AA pocket carry. If you like a smaller form factor, the Ti Mini Pineapples are great choices as well.

something a little more "show off"
that tends to lead to Titanium lights. And that often means manufactured by one of the USA Machinist companies, with prices around $500.

I favor relatively small lights, usually with 14500 size bodies (AA size).

The Wurkkos Titanium w Copper TS10 V2 is a strong personal favorite, and extremely affordable. Suggest you grab one before they are sold out.

If it ends up being not your cup of tea, Amazon returns are extremely easy.

The TS10 offers a huge number of features, that the USA models do not, for less than 1/10 the price (the light only costs $34 at checkout, thanks to a 40% off coupon). You may find the feature set overwhelming at first, but with a bit of time invested in the learning curve, you can enjoy a very sophisticated (and user configurable) interface.

May I recommend --

The Anduril interface might be Confusing at first,
but after a bit of time & effort,
it quickly became my *FAVORITE* !

Good Luck in your Search.

This is as close as I came to "fancy". Keep it shined up and it is pretty. Has a 519a high cri also.
The titanium version of this same light is pretty awesome as well, especially if you polish it.

For "showy", my minds definitely goes to Titanium.
Anduril has been mentioned earlier, and I too agree that it is my favourite once I got used to it.

As for models, I have the Emisar D4K Titanium (21700 cell), but it is heavy (I EDC mine in a reinforced tool carry pocket). So how about a more standard 18650 alternative like the D4V2?

Spec. wise, I'd say 519A 5000K with LumeX1 driver.

There's a couple of Ti versions of this guy coming up for sale....

My suggestion for a excellent EDC, are the Fenix E18R v. 2, or the Rovyvon E30 Pro. Please replace the RCR123 700 mAh battery which is bundled with the Fenix E18R v2 with the better 950 mAh model.
Both flashlights are of top quality manufacture and very efficient, reliable, and don't break the bank.
I understand that bespoke flashlights are better suited for EDC, but in twenty-five years I avoided to "invest" in them, mostly because I don't have the right budget, as the lumen-monsters (X75, LR60R, LR35R Pro, etc) take the majority of it; moreover, the pace of new releases, as consequence of the introduction of new classes of flashlights (blade-shaped, multi-beams, laser/phosphors), has became almost weekly. This require a careful selection.
Greetings,
Anthony

Thanks for the heads up on this bargain. I just ordered the titanium/copper TS10 V2 at Amazon. After discount it was $30.59 plus tax.
