Zebra appears to have 3 different beam patterns for their AA neutral headlamps: H52w with reflector, H52Fw with reflector and diffusion on the lens, and H502w mule (no reflector). Does anyone have beam shots of these to compare? I'm pretty sure I have these lined up most to least throw and most hot spot to smoothest beam. I have several older Zebra's with optics the H51w, which of the three is closest to the H51w?

Search "stefano zebralight" on youtube. He has a number of videos with ZL comparisons. The H52w is closest to what you have(H51w).

stephano's comparisons were invaluable in helping me decide.

I recently ordered a H502w, and it is intended for close range use, like reading or using indoors. The mule provides a very even beam without hotspot which I find better than the diffuse beam character of a reflector with diffusion(which has a hotspot but much enlarged and the transition is smoother than with clear glass.). Both are great of course and Zebralight belongs to the very finest lights available, in my opinion.
