Had something strange happen last night and was wondering if anybody else has experienced it or can help me out with it.
Last night I took my M4 to let the dog out. The beam was a sickly yellow. It made no sense as the M4 is a shelf queen and not used.
I ZTS'ed the batteries when I came back in. They were at 0% capacity. I don't remember exactly what the batteries were at when I put them in, but I do ZTS each cell to make sure I'm not going to start a back-charge or that they are already dead.
I've put another set of 4 fresh batteries in (ZTS'ed at 100%) and I'm going to monitor this and check it daily. I really don't want any rapid venting w/ flame.
Now my question: Is there history of the SW02 tailcaps causing low-drain situations? I didn't see anything while searching. My multimeter isn't sensitive enough to allow me to see current passing through the body and tailcap and I doubt the bulb itself would be where the short is. (If there is one)
