i have heard some good reviews about this light, like the build quality, and true to specifications outputs. are there any good alternatives to this light that i should consider? I looked at the TK35 1st and that seemed like a good choice till i discovered the bc40. also, batteries, what is a good brand of 18650 cells? i have looked at ultrafires but reviews seem mixed

I have had several BC40 lights. You cannot beat them for their output/price ratio.

my BC40 amazes me for the price. 700+ ANSI lumens and you can get one with black Friday discount for $55 shiped! I'm considering a second one in warm, but I've already splurged this holiday.

The bc40 has performed perfectly [ had it about 5 mths now ] I use the jetbeam 2300 protected cells with soshine charger which give great run times and charge to 4.18 volts each everytime-highly recommended.

I have chosen to install my BC40 on my AR15 as my weapons mounted light. It's not my brightest light or my longest throw light but it has a smaller head diameter and is lighter and a little smaller than my other 2x18650 lights. It has tons of spill and still plenty of throw for anything I'm likely to need on my AR.

I've had more Jetbeams fail than all other lights combined!!! It is your money and you can roll the dice if you want. No matter how great their lights look I no longer purchase Jetbeam products. My first M1X and RRT-1 are both going strong. If those were the only Jetbeams I ever bought I would have nothing but praise for their products.

I liked those two products so well I bought a second of each. Both slowly went defective as did the Jet-I Pro EX - V2 I bought. Only the second M1X happened under warranty.

Just one guys experience. If you go with Jetbeam I hope yours turns out better.

with the black Friday code you can get it for $55 and change from going gear

EDIT: LightJunction had the same deal on Friday. 20% off. With the normal CPF discount code you get 12% off, so still steal at around $62

Was wondering whether the above was correct? I've been looking at various black friday deals and I can't find anything on going gear relating to the BC40 being discounted?

bit the bullet and ordered one off light junction, can't wait to move into the bigger boys, lol
