Hi guys,
Long story short, I haven't been able to find my L1D-CE for almost a week, so I'm pretty sure I left it in a bar last Wednesday (ironically, when my gf returned it to me). The problem is, unlike most flashaholics, I don't really want to buy another flashlight. I was quite happy with the L1D, I used it for everything. I'd tailstand it on low all night when the bedside lamp was too bright, and later the same day I'd use it working as a doorman/bouncer.

I'd like another Fenix, I didn't have many issues with the L1D-CE. Occasionally it didn't turn on, and when the Eneloop ran out of charge it just stopped working altogether, but an Arc-P and a spare AA simply made it an annoyance.

I'd like some thoughts & opinions on the flashlights I'm currently looking at;
*) L1D-R80 -- Basically the same thing I had, but a better beam and a textured reflector and tailcap
*) L1Tv2 -- The forward-clicky sounds really nice, but I'd lose the 20hr-low of the L?D, and tailstand ability. Can't find it on fenix-store or fenixlight- discontinued?
*) ``Fenix Christmas Power Pack'' -- I'd want this for the Q5 L1D, but it'd be a waste of money. I would never use the P2D body, I already have the diffuser and nylon holster.

Is there any indication of Fenix releasing an R100 or Q5 L1D anytime soon? It seems like they went crazy with textured reflectors, different emitters, tailswitches, now they've gone back to when I bought the L1D-CE...

Lighthound has some L1's.

Edit - L1D's - to avoid confusion.

I carry one in my work pants. Comes on in low and quick twist to turbo without having to go through the other less useful modes.

@ biggoggs,

why don't you consider to buy the P2D? its over one centimeter shorter than the L1D but much more powerful. I recently got two myself, one with a rebel 100 emitter and the other with a Q5 emitter. personally I like the rebel better, it looks uglier on a wall, but is preferable in the field when colour rendering kicks in. the Q5 nevertheless will also stay, I give it to my girlfriend as a x-mas gift.

regards, holger

If you like bright get an L2D Q5 (choose either a smooth or OP reflector) and the L1D body (for $12). Both are available from Lighthound. Then you have the best of both worlds for $70. That's exactly what I just did :)

Get the "Fenix Christmas Power Pack" !! With this you can choose to run with 1 or 2 AA batteries. It has a difference in runtime!

Greetings from Brasil!

I have a P2D and it is awsome! I also just bought a L1T V2.0 for my dad; it is a nice little light as well. Personally I like the multiple levels of the P2D, and tailstand is an added bonus. If you want to stick with AAs then I would just replace the L1D, but if you don't like all the levels, and don't mind it not being able to tailstand then the L1T V2.0 is a good option.

Don't they deliver the LxT with a regular flat cap also? Or was that just the introduction offer?

I purchased an L1Tv2 a few weeks ago from the fenix-store.com and it came with both tailcaps.

However, I saw in another thread (per Marduke) that the fenix was having trouble sourcing forward clickies, and the L1T v2.0 would be out till January.

Thanks for the info. It's pretty nice that they offer two tailcaps.

sorry about you L1D. I freak out every time I misplace any of my lights.

the Fenix store is offering the Olight T15 Q5.
