It seems to me the platform is solid but i think offering the same set up but instead of an UV light I would like to see a flood and a throw combo.
Keeping the laser of course.
Does anyone else see this option as a viable choice?
I personally would find it much more useful.
What say you?

Yes, I am not a fan of UV incorporated as a mode into a flashlight.
Should be a stand-alone feature.
Fenix Screwed up the original LD05 many years ago when they released the 2nd Gen. (and current LD05) model. Just tossed UV mode in there that no one asked for.

I have a Wurkkos double headlamp and it has a throw and a flood combo. You can choose one or the other or both but you have to know how to press the button to change how you want it to come on where the Arkfeld is so easy to choose your poison with the toggle style selector.

Maybe someone from Olight will see this and consider making an Arkfeld Ultra II or Ultra Pro with the flood/laser/throw combo. Unfortunately for me I will own 3 of the present iteration as soon as the two i just ordered gets here. 😄/☹️
But i will buy one or two of the newer ones if you make them???
Is there anyone else that likes this idea?

Now that is an excellent 3-Way combo!
I'd happily buy a couple of those lights, and EDC it.

I guess it's just the two of us?
I imagine out walking around my house at night illuminating the area with the flood component of this new combo. Good area light working as it should. Then i hear a noise off in the not too distant, distance but far enough that upon aiming the flood light in that general direction i can't pinpoint the source of the noise? A cat? A stray dog? So I flip the dial to the throw component of this new Arkfeld and a quick scan reveals a skunk and apparently heading in my direction! Yikes!! I immediately head for the safety of my house and the new light saves the day.
This happened to my son who didn't have any flashlight and almost got sprayed as the skunk he first thought was a stray cat, that has been known to frequent his expansive yard turned out to be something you don't want to tangle with.
I know as my other son lived there before and one night we ended up giving his German Shepherd a de skunking bath lol. Not funny

Yeah, it's odd this topic has no other replies.
But going outside in darkness with no light, just not a good idea.
Always have a light and a good canister of pepperspray on me.

Now I'm wondering what would happen if a skunk sprayed a person who then blasted it back with pepperspray. Taste of its own medicine. That would be a very confused skunk.

For reference.

I did send OLIGHT an email about possibly offering an Arkfeld with a flood/laser/spot combo. They got back with me pretty fast and didn't seem to be a canned response. Seems I earned a personal response. I like that! 😄

While I agree that a throw and flood combo Arkfeld would be cool. I wonder about how much throw you could actually get out of a small reflector (or optic) that could fit into roughly the same footprint as the Arkfeld head.

In this same vein tho, I had thought that it would be cool if the Arkfeld Pro's laser could do laser measuring or have tachometer functionality. That'd be a real 'pro' tool.

You might not need both flood and spot but when your trying to see and you have to turn night into day that's absolutely going to make a huge difference. Now that I received my Olight Marauder 2 I don't see why anybody would get a daily flashlight you use to go outside that didn't have those two functions and as much of both as possible. I didn't think about it before, that is until I started looking at flashlights again and came across the Marauder 2. All I got to say is Wow.

The Marauder Mini might be a bit more easy to carry and have a more traditional round spot but I wanted the one with the best flood and longest throw, that and I was able to get the Marauder 2 at the same price Olight was selling the Marauder Mini on sale so it made it a much easier decision.

However the Marauder 2 is far from being an Arkfield as I don't always want to carry something as big as a Marauder 2 or even Marauder Mini. In fact that is why I decided to order the Acebeam Terminator M1 and M2-X because I wanted something of that same nature in a smaller form factor. A flashlight with a good amount of flood and spot. Neither of these of course have the same form factor as the Arkfield although the Terminator M2-X is closer as a flat flashlight and small enough I should be able to put it in my pocket and it also has a replaceable battery.

Although I've thought about getting the Arkfield Pro or now the Ultra I already have a Surefire Stiletto Pro II and the Arkfelds additional functions like laser or UV would simply be more of a toy than filling a need for me like spot and flood which makes more night day. If they could put a good amount of flood and spot in the Arkfield form factor then I would have more reason to get one. But form factor will also make that a challenge.

Great information. I know the UV and perhaps even the laser are but a toy but I like them just the same.
I still like the flood, spot combo and i like a laser too. The shape for pocket carry is the best in my book. I ordered the Arkfeld + Baton Turbo so guess the plan is to carry both as EDC.

Actually it was when I was looking at smaller pocket flashlights and eventually the Baton Turbo that it got me start looking at even more powerful flashlights. I use Youtube a lot and as you start looking at one thing and then one vs another comparisons you can easily take another direction. I still picked up a very pocket friendly Fenix E18R but more light is something I also want to be able to access even if not all are pocket friendly.

I have some monster throwers as evident by my avatar. Those are amazing lights but not pocket friendly.
Yeah, I really don't know anything about what you own. Basically I was just responding to your reply with regards to what I perceived as you seeming to emphasize pocket friendly.

I just personally find smaller flashlights can be somewhat limiting because of the form factor even though I find them handy and easy to carry. I'm sure I could find a pretty good thrower or flood light in a smaller form factor but I know I could do better in a larger form factor. That is if I am looking for the longest thrower, the most flood with a longer duration. Flashlights that turn night into day. Tools that make it possible to see. That and flashlights that work at these longer distances or most flood for longer periods of time and not just for a few seconds or only a couple of minutes.

I won't buy a Arkfeld because it has UV. I have two dedicated UV lights. Don't need it in my EDC. But an Arkfeld with flood and throw would be great. In fact, get rid of the laser and provide 3 choices: Flood / Throw / Flood with Throw, and I'd be happy and would buy one.

I have an older TK51 that provides that set of choices. Plus it allows you to control the level of each (flood / throw) separately. (1,800L total). Great light but it runs on 3x18650 and is not a small light.

I like the rectangular form factor. I have a older LD50 (also 1,800 lumen that uses 2x18650). It's been discontinued for years, but it's still one of my favorite lights.

Interesting. Thing is i like the laser. Would be real cool if you could have flood and throw and a laser that you can change from green to red? I have a German Shepherd Dog and her training has been neglected and at night when i need her to come and she ignores my command i just put the laser in front of her and she chases it frantically all the way to me and into the house. She is insane when it comes to chasing it.
