LS heat and heatsinks

At what voltage does a Star/O with optics need a heatsink? What voltage does the Reactor2 run at? Is it 3 volts considering it is not regulated.

Just how much heat does a 1 watt LS put out at full voltage, what are some heatsink suggestions?

My LS/O gives a good amount of light and not much heat at 3.0 volts.

Try bolting it to a piece of aluminum flat bar with a piece of heat sink pad in between. You can keep cutting back on the flat bar until you get to a limit.
