LS20 flickering

So, I'm using it on low and notice that, for a moment or two, it starts to flicker. (It's very slight.) Then the flickering stops and it's back to normal. It's a primary (a cheapie) and it tested out as 20% on my ZTS tester.

Normal low battery behavior?

(I almost never run primaries so I've never run one all the way down.)

Does the flickering occur with a fresh primary? I assume you've cleaned your contacts as well? I haven't run down a primary on my LS20 yet but I know on my PD-S the high would flicker when the primary cell was starting to get low.

I quit using the primary and swapped it with a AW RCR and, so far, it hasn't repeated.

I just thought it odd that it flickered for a few seconds then went back to normal. I would have thought that if the battery were near depleted it would have continued to flicker until the battery was done.

(I'm pretty sure it's the battery but want to be absolutely sure before I trade it off.)

I have seen the same behavior with my LS20 on almost depleted primaries.
