LSH troubleshooting for dummies?

My LSH-P just quit on me. Is there any knowledge base of troubleshooting steps that folks can do before sending lights back to Arc for service?

Aside from the obvious "try a fresh battery" one, of course. My problem is that I'm utterly clueless when it comes to electronics and such--hence the request for info at a "for dummies" level.

It is more than likely the Kroll.

It initially failed using the 123 twisty pack, and then continued to not work when I tried using the 2xAA and 123 clicky packs.

Look at the positive contact in the arc head ant clean it if neccesary.
