Bought one from Battery Junction and am returning....

quite a disappointment as LumaPower has produced some nice lights.

So instead of fooling around with different replacement contact sticks, why doesn't Lumapower just put a small brass set-screw into the end of a contact stick, to make it adjustable?

Why does this have to be so complicated?

Not a bad idea. A little thread locking element would keep it in place and it would be 'infinitely' adjustable. I have been watching to see if Lumapower would release a new tailcap assembly with an improved system for contacting the battery. Are they just going to chalk this one up as a lesson learned or fix it?

In case you guys haven't seen it, check out the original Avenger thread over in the Lumapower forum at the Marketplace. They seem to be close to releasing a replacement for the original tailcaps. The new one uses some type of spring...... although I'm not sure how that will affect the operation of the 2 level switching.
