Lumapower avenger GX and 10440,is it possible

I'm on a quest for a clicky 10440 light, I have the LD01 and really like it on the 10440, I am leaning towards the preon1 with the optional clicky but saw the avenger GX and want to know if anyone has used the 10440 in it and what were the results.

I have an Avenger 1st series and an Avenger GX. On the original Avenger's manual it says that 10440 cells are allowed and I have always used them without any problem. On the contrary li-ion cells are not recommended in the GX and therefore I only use NiMH's.

I have the Avenger Gx and the LiteFlux LF2X, do you think the GX will go poof if I use the 10440, but only use low and medium output, and the occasional high for a few seconds? I find myself still using the LF2X as my edc because of the higher output of the 10440's, but I really like the clicky on the GX. I wish someone would make a clicky tail cap for the LF2X I would buy it in a second and sell my GX 😛
