All those units for light, I couldn't find a post explaining them so I'm wondering, what exactly are they all ?

Hi there.
Good to see another UK member. (They're mostly Americans here, but we're from all over the world too.)

Ummm, about Candlepower, Lumens etc. Just look through the Topic headings in the different Forums, you'll find plenty of similarly baffled posts, and the baffling replies.

On-line, I think the best single source is the "Light Measurement Handbook" sponsored by International Light, in their generosity. It's @ http://www.intl-light.com/handbook/index.html

It's downloadable too.

Welcome aboard

Hmmm.

Nice post (the link to the light measurement discussion), although, it'd sure be nice if someone (volunteer?) would boil this down to a "2 page" discussion that most mortals would take the time to read and have the persistence to really understand it.

I'm an engineer. I THINK if I took the time to read the whole thing, I'd get it.

Any "boil down" volunteers out there?

Anyway, thanks for the link!
