Lumens Factory - Wow!!!

I have just connected up my 380 lumen 7.2v lamp and all I can say is wow. I have built it into a home made aluminium body with a lens that I got from an Ultrafire head. The rear of the body mounts onto my air rifle via an old laser mount. The lamp is powered by 6x 2700mA/H AA NiMh's and it works great. I can't show a pic of it mounted on the gun as the bracket is being painted at the moment but here are a couple of pics of the lamp unit. I have made a long shade infront of the bulb to reduce side spill as I just want good spot. It lights up the houses 50 yards away with no problems, hopefully I will get out shooting with it at the weekend.

I have just put it together on the rifle and tried it in the back yard and it is amazing. I can clearly see objects 200 yards away through the scope that are brightly illuminated. Being an air rifle I only hunt up to 40 yards but with this lamp I can spot rabbits in the distance and make my way quietly towards them. Can't wait to try it out.

that's awesome... and 6 cells is just about right for that lamp too, fresh off the charger it'll push it pretty hard so be careful. I like that setup. very well thought out.
