lumens vs candlepower

I'm trying to compare the brightness of torchlights. Some companies rate it in lumens, some use candlepower. Is there a conversion chart for lumens <---> candlepower?

Which is a more accurate measure, if any?

Thanks for that helpful link. I did some searching on this forum and also found some informative posts.

I have digital images of a lot of different lights on my site for a visual comparison between different lights. I also rate them in relative brightness and list the power they each use, for the most part more power is brighter. Check out my flashlight page below.
