Lumileds manufacturing process

A future electronics person I spoke to here in blighty reckons the colour problems (i.e. when is white not white? when it's a luxeon white led) have been solved by a change to the manufacturing process. Is this true, and are they now rolling out 'whiter whites'?

The owner of LEDCorp told me much the same thing. He gave them a couple of hints on how to do it. He and both have a wait and see attitude. My Pro Series bulb should arrive on wednesday. He told me it is just a wee bit on the greenish yellow when unfocused, due to the side light. This gets thrown forward by the reflector in the Mag-Lite or any focusing light. When focused, the white swamps the slightly tinged side light in the spot.
