You need a thicker o-ring on the lense if you put it in baseballcap mode. The lense gets less tention an gets loose. Not ratteling loose, but too loose to be waterproof.
Edit, i see your clip is under the brass ring, so yours is ok. Mine unscrewd over the brass ring, so yesterday when i put the clip there, the oring for the lense got loose. Looks like i need to break the locktite under the brass pill for the clip 🙂
Played with mine yesterday. Tested the 219c, xp-g3 and xpl- hi leds in the tool. Ended up with a neutral xp-l hi.

Received my shipment of these pocket clips this afternoon, and I am quite pleased. It's almost like these were designed specifically for this light - the fit and appearance is that good. This has definitely rejuvenated my interest in this light. Thanks again to those who helped bring this to the attention of others...

If you strip the anodizing or bridge the connection inside with a piece of bare wire or foil it will work.

The copper and ti tool conduct through the the tailcap threads so need nothing to work with the Preon clip. The aluminum conducts through the end of the battery tube so must be bridged to the tailcap using metal wire, foil, or by stripping the anodizing inside the tailcap and on the battery tube threads.

I made a copper washer from some old copper flashing I had. Clamped a small piece of flashing sandwiched between two pieces of wood and drilled a 5/16" hole, then nibbled around the hole in the flashing with shears to make a washer. Bent it a bit in opposite directions. I couldn't find a source for a copper spring washer.

I put this on my Toolcu but renders it inoperable. Apparently weakening the contacts by taking up too much space. Any ideas?

Well thanks to you guys and mr gaze(and mr chow) 2 clips came through today for the TOOL's
Old n new(old will be used on other AAA lights that simply just need an anti roll
O ring off and clip on
Back together and no gap!
Much better
Clip has really good retention, could not be happier.

I bought a couple of these for my Liteflux LF2XT. They work much better then the wire clip!

oh i have this clip solution too!
Tool ti with this clip is one of the most beautiful AAA clicky stock lights and for sure the shortest afaik.
Just too bad that lumintop equipped it with a super poorly efficient driver with short runtime and low brightness.
i dont mind the battery-capacitor in the tailcap btw.
