For some strange reason MY LUNASOL which was shipped on the 26th did not arrive today (Saturday the 29th).
I can't even tell you how much hope I had pinned on this beauty arriving today.
I know you guys know exactly how I feel when an expectation is not met.
The damn post office....
Did any of you guys receive LUNASOL's from Don which were shipped on the 26th?
I hope not. (only because I am jealous)

Just tried out the Lunasol on this Pineapple that was modded for McGizmo lights by ArsMechina. Makes a nice combination around the house.

For out-and-about, I'll put back the regular body with its excellent clip.

I can stare at that reflector and admire its beauty for minutes.

Finally Don put together a somewhat acceptable light :nana: ... :aaa:

The backwash has washed ashore in NYC! Don's superfast backwash buildout was capped by shipping from Hawaii to New York in just 3 days... I love it when Priority Mail actually works. Just pulled my LunaSol from the box and here's my 3 word review:

Best. Flashlight. Ever.

A few shots of the LunaSol with a worthy carry partner, Reeve mammoth ivory Mnandi.

Lemme axe y'all a question:

Is there a way to adjust the tension of the piston on these critters?

My Ti PD Mule was a bit stiff at first, enough that I asked about adjusting it, but after a few days it softened up some and/or I got used to it. I'd say use your light as-is for now, then decide after a while if you still want to adjust it.

Another "back-wash" Lunasol 27 washes up in the Bay Area, California. If there was ever eye and finger candy.......oh my this is so sweet...pez

p.s. just in time for the 8:00-9:00 blackout!

I received mine -- thanks Don!!! It will be difficult to top this perfect light although I know you will do it somehow... :grin2: Low is such a smooth "wash" of light and high adds a powerful yet non-glaring beam in the center which is well-coordinated with the "low-lights" to form the most useful beam ever!
