I am trying to find some way of connecting the Luxeon 1W star to illuminate a custom made fibre optic backlight, at present I can't come up with any idea's how to connect the two, can any one help.

What is the OD of your fiber bundle? You will likely need a base mount that will accept and secure the fibers as well as allign them with the LS. It may have been easier to work with the /o Luxeon where there is already an optic mount integrated. Depending on the number and size of yur fiber bundle, it might be easiest to drill a shallow hole in the face of a collimator and then use a clear casting epoxy to glue your bundle into the optic.
