Luxeon Star in its feral state...

I've just heard that Luxeon Star LEDs are now being offered in their bare state, just the LED without the MCPCB.

This is probably for the benefit of flashlight makers who, up until now, have had to pry the things off their MCPCBs, desolder them, and end up throwing the expensive boards away.

Might make for some savings in cost.

Thanks for the tip, Stingmon. I went to the website and checked it out. I am checking to see if Future Active has any in stock, if so, I am going to get a few.
