I finally put a 5761 in my venerable M@gcharger, and what a significant improvement it is. I did the tail spring wire mod, disassembled the switch & cleaned and treated with Caig DeoxIT & PreservIT on moving parts. On the non-moving contacts (spring to cups, slug, power contacts, etc.) I applied Stabilant-22 contact enhancer. My battery stick measures 7.22v off the charger & 7.16 at the at the bulb pins. I am surprised that voltage did not drop more. Are the M@gcharger switches this low in resistance? Or, could I do better at Vbulb?
