Hi all,

I'm going to buy my first lithium operated flashlight and I am considering the E2e HA and the M2. I got a special price on the M2, but the flashlight on the photo looks different than the one on the SF website. Can you tell me what exact flashlight is on the photo, and if I should choose that/the M2 over the E2e HA.

M2 on offer http://www.ph-import.com/x755/surefire08.html

Thanks very much,
Ralph

I recommend going with the M2. You won't be disappointed.

That is a picture of an M2 but it does look strange due to the angle.

You mentioned special pricing. Just make sure you verify it has type III Hard Anodising, Shock Isolation System, Pyrex Lens, and Lockout Tailcap.

Enjoy

Obviously a C2, not an M2. I can't believe I didn't spot that. Forgive my error.

I dont think that is an M2. I think it is the regular Centurion C2, not the M2 edition. The M2 should have cooling fins on the bezel.

You have to be careful what you chose because Mr. Hoffmann offers the M2 Centurion - what he calls the M2 - and the real up todate M2 - what he calls M2S (S like shock isolated). The "M2" is the old M2 with the old bezel (no cooling fins, I am not sure about SIS, ...). As you will notice there is also quite a differnce in price: C2HA 149Euro vs. M2S 219Euro !

Klaus.

Welcome aboard Ralph.

Before buying, check prices from an American dealer - even with shipping and import charges it might still make sense.
I'm from the UK, but I buy from my favourite dealer, Tim Flanagan,

If you are new to SureFire's and the many options available, perhaps read some topics on the SureFire Discussion Board.

E2e, or M2 - the CPF warcry is "get them both !"

Hi guys,

Hmmm, that doesn't look too good. I was getting suspicious indeed when I saw the picture and the hugh price difference. You're giving me just the info I needed, thanks! This is the reply I got when I asked about it:

"We have the special edition of the M2 with the smaller head, which makes the light not so bulky ( same light-output).".

I guess I have to order the M2S if I want to have the real thing, but I think it's strange to offer a M2 which is a C2 ...

Because there is no Dutch import on the SF's, I'll look for a US shop instead (thanks lightlover).

Thanks, Ralph
