I am planning ahead for my next few months of flashlight purchases. For the summer months I am moving back into floody lights. I am researching a light that has tonnes of output out to about 100 meters and is compact.
Which of these two lights would provide a floodier area up to 100 meters? Is the obvious answer the TM11 due to the increase in lumens?
Thanks

TM11 puts out ~2,000 lumens and achieves ~20,000 lux.
M3C4 3*XM-L has output of ~1,000 lumens and has ~15,000 lux for throw.

In short, TM11 will be brighter, floodier AND project its wall of light slightly farther, the reason being TM11 has nearly twice the output of M3C4 but with only 25% increase in throw.

Both lights will get you 100 meters of throw. To get 100 meters of effective throw, you only need around 3,000 lux. Both TM11 and M3C4 3*XM-L exceed that.

With TM11, you will get ~280 meters of throw, while M3C4 will get you ~245 meters.

I'm a little confused. I thought the M3C4 would out-throw the TM11 by a good 100 meters?
