Basically I'm just day(night?)dreaming here; but I'd love to stuff an aspherical and several bare emitters inside of a surefire m6; but there's no way I'm going to buy one just to measure it. After I win the lottery I'd like to buy one and do this modification; running it on 3x18650(or 3x17670 if 18650's are too thick)

So.........does anyone have general inner dimensions for this beast?

Hmmm - I've been thinking about the M6 too. I have one and currently run it with 6 x RC123 and 1185, which gives very similar output and runtime to the HOLA - but for free!
But if I could get 3 x 18650 in there I could have up to 2600mah (LG unprotected) instead of 1500mah from 3S2P AW 123's - so maybe 50 minutes!
3 x 17670 no problem - just slips right in, but that only gives 1600mah (all figures using AW's stated capacity) so no great advantage.
3 x 18650 in the M6 is my target, but needs triboring......
Internal OD of my M6 is 37mm - 3 pack 18650 need another 1mm on each of the tribores I reckon - very marginal and risk of destroying the body if you don't get it spot on. So unless someone has a spare M6 body to practice on I think its going to stay on the shelf!
Go on Ryan - that nice new lathe needs a challenge!

Hmmmm; that sounds like some tight milling work! I'll have to play with one at a dealership to get a feel for whether is will be too tight or not

I just bought a Milkyspit M6 modified to hold seven emitters and run on four 14760's (I think), producing about 14 volts of power. I asked Scott about the 18650's and I understood him to say there wasn't enough room.

Brightness of this setup is outstanding, rated at 540 lumens, and runtime is about two hours.

When I decide to stop being lazy and learn how to post pictures, I'll post a shot of the light.
