Just a little more information such as your application, requirements, and budget might help.

The new M6 is certainly more capable where output and run-time go, so if those are important to you it's probably worth considering.

I would think that if you like and use the original M6, the new one will be largely superior. I looked at one recently, and seriously considered getting one. The only thing that really kept me from going for it was the fact that it is a single mode, which makes it a nice, fairly high output spotlight, but not very useful for much else, so I opted for the UB3T Invictus. (I thought that light was more versatile, which matched my use better, but of course it might be precisely the opposite for you.) I was tempted by the M6LT - I think you'd find it a very nice upgrade from your M6. If it had dual stage tail with a "low" mode (200-300 lumens) in addition to the 900 lumen mode, I'd have bought one.

Thanks for your replies.
I really love my m6,application would be the same as my older m6
Spotting people trying to get into my back yard stealing my apples from my apple orchard.
Once they see that beam they start running. The extra power and longer run times would be great.
I have a Phd-m6 battery pack it works great.
I was wondering if William will make one for the m6 led??
What other rechargeable options do I have??
Thanks again.

@Mrbenchmark
I took a look at the ub3t that is a nice
Light. What batteries are you useing??
Rechargeable or the cr123???

Hi, I'm using CR123. I like primaries, but I also don't have to use the light every day, so that is an easier tradeoff for me to make. What I liked about the UB3T was that it seemed like a more useful general purpose walking around light - hours and hours of selectable lower output with ~30-45 minutes of the light running at full blast 100% output. (It's stupidly bright on full for an hour, hour and a half though.) I also like the battery gauge - this is one of those things I obsessively worry about because I am obviously neurotic.

Have you looked at the Olight SR90? That seems like another searchlight that would fit your application, and it is rechargeable only. (Not to push you away from the M6LT - I think the M6LT is a fantastic light, hell I may end up getting one anyway...)

BTW, if your M6 scares folks off, the M6LT or the SR90 will be like hitting them with a car headlight! 🙂
