Got a new SCOUT Light (M600A). THe instructions say that in order to remove the plug-in tape switch "remove plug by rotating and pulling plug outward".

Well by holding the knurled portion of the metal insertion into the light body, you can rotate where the swivel works, but I am afraid to actually 'pull' out harder than I am. Is there a special way to remove it? It seems that the cord holder can fully rotate 360 over and over - not like it is unscrewing or something.

Any thoughts, pics, diagrams, helpful suggestions, advice? Thanks Alan

Firmly hold the metal part of the tape switch (as you have been doing) and pull harder. They are known to be difficult to remove. Some people even resort to using pliers.

You can/have to pull it pretty hard (grab by the plug, not the cable)

This is what it looks like unplugged:

As noted, more effort than you think is required. Keeps it from getting pulled out if lightly snagged in a tree branch, web gear, etc.
