Nice work! That's looks beautiful! :twothumbs

Did you bead blast it first?

Nice work Scott!
Problem is I don't like black.

Awesome work Scott ;)

Which powder/texture did you use?

I finally got my powder coating gun, so am itching to try it soon :D

Harbor Freight Matte Black powder 93306-0VGA . It looks to have a micro texture, but it is smooth to the touch.

I didn't blast the host, just a good hot water scrub with a clean toothbrush, and Zep Citrus cleaner degreaser.

I bake dried the host for 30 minutes at 400 degrees, let it cool to about 150 degrees, applied the powder, and back into the 400 degree oven for 25 minutes.

Thank you for the detailed instructions

When I bought my gun, I ordered to try this black carbide texture powder. Hopefully during the Thanksgiving holiday I will get to play with the equipment for the first time :D
