I just received my Mac's Customs Titanium EDC. I am loving this beautifully made light!

However, this is my first titanium light so I need help choosing the best lube for the titanium threads. Right now I am using Super Lube and that seems to be working better than Nano Oil.

What are you using and what would you recommend?

Thanks in advance for the help!

I use TiTi Twister made by fyrstormer on the forum. It's the best lube I have used on titanium but applying it is tricky because it can get messy

Thanks for the recommendation. I saw this one in another thread, and was curious how it performed.

I read through that entire thread, but I wanted information specifically from Mac's Custom Titanium light users. Thanks for the heads-up on the Krytox 50/50.

In that case, then, I should clarify that is what I use on all of my McGizmo titanium torches ... but I don't (yet?) have a Mac's 😱

Now that I mentioned the TiTi Twister, I'm curious as to what Mac uses on his light. I want to know what's the lube that comes on the lights from him

Just an FYI guys. I have done mods to quite a bit of mac edc lights now, and one thing I have seen pretty consistently is the inside of the lens and the carclo optics having a layer of oil/ lubricant on them from users over-lubing. This light is definitely one in which less lubricant is more.....

Thanks for sharing your wisdom. That is good advice!

Interesting, I use Super Lube & Nano Oil quite often but I've never used Super Lube on flashlights. So the Super Lube works fairly decent on Ti threads? Only on my Ti Mcgizmos I have been using Krytox but I haven't kept up with lubes for lights & haven't bought anything new in years. All other Ti threads (non-flashlights) I have I use Nano Oil or no lube at all.

I use Nano Oil on most everything, mostly knives & my measuring tools. Super Lube I use as a general purpose grease next to two other types Mobil grease. Super Lube is what Snap-On uses in their ratches & is one of the items on the the short list of USA made products sold at HF. 🙂

I use Nyogel 760G on all my lights. I receive lights back every once in a while and find there is WAY TO much lube on them. All you need to do is have a very light coat that can barely be seen.
