Observation:
- S12DD is only brighter than S12Factory in the first 2 minutes (37% brighter).
- After 2 minutes both are about equal.
- At 16 minutes, DD seem twice as bright compared to factory due to extreme thermal regulation on factory S12.
- Restart after 15 minutes cool down in the fridge, S12DD brightness remains the same but Factory S12 is brighter than S12DD now.

Conclusion:
The 37% brightness increase from S12DD for 2 minutes is not worth the mod. IMHO, the best way to increase an S12 performance is deactivating its thermal sensor, thus prolong the 800 lumen threshold. I believe the tiny resistor in photo 2 is related to the thermal sensor. The light works perfectly with both the red and black wires de-soldered from the tiny resistors. I will let it sit for another 15 minutes and report back. If output does not drop then we have just derived an easy method to turn off the thermal sensor.
