was wondering what insights CPFers might have concerning the long term use/service requirements of the MAGcharger , my at- work unit gets very little use , but for the last 3 years I have tried to pull it out of the charger once each month and turn it on let it drain totally and when cool place it back in the wall charger, and write it down in my service log, seems like it goes through a bulb every 8 0r 9 months, regular bulb life I guess , still on original battery pack, any suggestions?? comments??

I'm just guessing here, but you probably don't need to run the light all the way down every month. Maybe run it for 5-10 minutes every month and fully discharge every 3-6 months ?

If nothing else it would make your bulbs last longer ;) ;)

Hhmmmm.... you know, I would A. buy a Surefire 10X or B. just use my near new Surefire A2 that I love so much and am glad Benchmade_Boy sold to me.

I've got one that 10 years old and just getting its second battery. It would be taken out of the charger the used, then returned to the charger. I don't think it was ever completely drained over the last decade.

The only care taken was to change bulbs (2 over ten years) when they went out. But as I said the stick got to where it wouldn't hold a charge so I've replaced it. Also recently returned from warranty work where it's switch was replaced.
