Last time we drove by we didn't had the time to make a stop, but does anyone know if it is possible to visit and attend the Mag production there? I mean would be quite cool to stop for a tourist tour in the factory and see how they build these batons :D And: Do they have an outlet there too?

I would like to know also. Maybe an email to them would work.

Mag ??? go to look for real good lights

hey! mag-lites aren't really good flashlights like surefire, wolfeye, fenix...
but they are absolutly the most sold (quite good) flashlight in the world :)

I don´t understand why people feel the need to trash a certain flashlight company. Maglite once made very good flashlights. Now other companies have taken over. Maglite has meant a lot for us flashaholics and non-flashaholics. Yes, it´s time they´d make some progress in developement. I think they will. Besides: their flashlights are easy to modify. Reason I still buy ´m.

It´s easy to critisize. You don´t do that with a soccer player (or whatever category) who was once good and celebrated, but ends in a 2nd division.

I bet you own or owned a mag yourself and once you liked it. If not, buy one and mod it. :)

Yes, you are right i owned mags in the history, but i was not happy at any time.
Much batteries, heavy, and not real good brightness, i found nothing at a mag what is realy very good. I hear all time: You can fight with a Mag, wow, i buy a car to swim, that is the same nonsense, in my opinion

their lights are basically a solid product, outdated, yes, but stable and servicable

I think what some CPF'ers (myself included) object to is mag's propensity for "Innovation Via Lawyers" instead of actually creating innovative products (the Arc Vs. mag incident)

If I was to visit the Mag factory, I couldn't resist the urge to use my SureFires or even my Arc AAA-P while there <evil grin>

What is the comparable flashlight made in Germany?

Yes, you are right, in Gemany there are not much realy good Flashlights, so my most lights are from the US, but thats not the question here. Fact is, Mag is out of time.

No, fact is that you said: Originally Posted by maxilux

And that is what people respond to here.
I think your intention was to say something in a funny way and didn't consider the impact. Or am I wrong?

In my opinion mag`s are not good, for the price they cost (here in Germany) you get better lights, i will have a light not very big and heavy, i need good output.
Please say me one thing what is good at a mag?
It can be it is good for you, not for me.
I dont buy a light for modding.
When i buy a light it must be ready to use.

Sorry, when these are not the right words, buti think you all know what i mean.
