Mag mod...need optics recommendation

I'm doing a Mag mod..1 D cell Mag with 3AA to D adaptor..1W Luxeon. I'm looking to make this a wide beam of white light...not a pinpoint beam. Can someone recommend what I should buy for a lens?

How wide are you thinking? LS LEDs throw a very wide beam without any sort of additional optics. You could just go with a high dome LS, the stock Mag reflector and stock lens. Or, for that little bit extra brightness and toughness, go to www.flashlightlens.com and choose one of their lenses.

It's a regular star 1W...no high dome. I'm cutting the cam barrell off the reflector. I'm concerned that without an optic of some kind , that there will be too much side spill. I'm looking to get a wall of white...just like a tube of light. Any recommendations?
