It would reduce resistance, just like wires bigger diameter=lower resistance.Does having that big of piece of brass increase resistance compared to a brass rod encased in polymer?

Seems like common design for dummy cells I see for sale on the net.Why would you encase brass in a polymer? if you want a smaller lighter conductor use copper.
Like I promised, I bought ml25, there isn't any mechanical RPP, batts made good contact either way, inserted batteries backwards, turned it on, no light, put the batts the right way, light came on, No ill effect noticed during revers polarity tests, lights works just fine. I strongly suspect ml 50 and ml 150 would also suffer no issues from reverse polarity.minis do not have that recessed positive, nether does magtac, rebel module from 2d was even easier to test, it is removed from a light, I connected 3v supply the correct way then a reverse, several times.
Pretty sure all made good positive contact.
But you know what, you made me wonder, now i have to buy ml25 and try it.
What’s your opinion about them? I have not had time to try them yet. That is the kind I use.
I just tried it in an old 6D without and flickering or other problem. In brand new latest incan 6D Mag it flickers in use. Alkaline batts. I can do pic and vid of problem if u are interested.
What’s you opinion about the drop ins from the torch site?

Because of Brexit they don’t sell to any of the 27 EU countries.I have bought from them a number of times. Not sure who makes their stuff exactly. No real issues. The only things I'd say negative are generally poor tints, often blue'ish or green'ish. There is also visible PWM on the multi mode drop ins. I don't think this is exclusive to The Torch Site, but all Maglite 3rd party drop ins I've come across.
You probably would not buy even if they did, EU would tariff the crap out of it and make it much more expensive than it worth.Because of Brexit they don’t sell to any of the 27 EU countries.
Same. Though it has to be something truly special.I sometimes pay whatever it takes to get a light.
I've never gone that much. But if you do snag it, please make a topic about it.It has to be outside my market and unobtainable through the usual places. Right now I'm in talks to pay 1000$ over what the retail price of a light from the EU that is exceptionally rare.
It says the opposite on their website....Because of Brexit they don’t sell to any of the 27 EU countries.
