Hi guys, I'm new to the forums, but I've done a lot of reading and some of these mods are awesome!
I have a question about a flashlight I'd like to build/buy:
What I really want is a flashlight like a Maglite Solitaire, but with a longer 'handle' accommodating two AAA cells.
Or, put another way, an AAA Mini Maglite, but with the head of a Solitaire instead of the bulbous Mini head.
Is it possible to just buy both and screw the head from the Solitaire onto the body of the Mini?
I looked at a parts diagram and it seemed to me like it wouldn't work, but since I don't own either of the flashlights, I'm unable to check.
I also thought it might be possible to screw two solitaire bodies together if the thread size for the head and the end cap were the same, but again I have no way to check this.
If this won't work, could somebody suggest an alternative?
