I'm looking at my 6P right now, and it looks like the head could fit another O-ring groove. It looks like they considered doing it, but decided against it in the end. Where I'm talking about is right in front of the o-ring/immediately where the threads terminate on the head.

Has anyone tried cutting another O-ring groove in the head of the 6P? I don't want to risk doing that, and screwing the light up.

It would be easy as pie to do. All you'd need is a grooving tool and a lathe.

I'd recommend putting any extra o-rings further from the threads than the stock o-ring.

If you'd like another groove cut, I should be able to do it for you for fairly cheap, and there's any number of other members here who also could. I'm sure they'll chime in shortly. :D

I'll bookmark this thread, then :)

After Christmas time, I'll have 2 6P's that will need the o-ring groove. I assume I will only need to send the bodies, right?

I'd do it myself, but I don't know where to get the proper tool.
