Good morning all. I had bought a Joule Thief lantern from one of our members here quite some years ago. I had it for awhile but it suffered a fate at one point that broke the LED off the end.
I brought it up to my retired electrical engineer father in law sometime last week, and low and behold, he ordered the parts and gave them to me over the weekend. I'm going to put it together some point soon.
Other than using a breadboard or nailing the parts down to a piece of wood, I'm thinking about cool form factors for use. The original one I bought was a piece of PVC pipe. Trying to come up with useful or interesting ways to construct the lantern. I do have PVC pieces and might come up with a way to make it like the original lantern design.
Interested in your interesting Joule Thief lantern construction ideas.
Thanks.
