Malkoff Junkies: Assemble! M361 WARM P60 drop-in

I think the tint is awesome. Very golden, without any green. It made my 3000k XP-G2 Hi CRI drop-in expendable! Have to admit that I wish the low was lower... Too bright for dark of night use.

Anyone not happy with there Dropins? I'm loving mine.

Only thing I'm not happy about is I forgot mine at home when going out of town this week.

Toothpaste, camera, skivies and food can be found locally. But finding a proper golden tint LED flashlight?
Pffft, forget about it.

Call it accidental incan week I suppose. I found a 1990's 2D Maglite in my go bag to keep me happy for a few evening cholesterol lowering jaunts....

Now that sucks! I have been using mine every where I go. Really liking it.

I took it out of my go bag and set it on a shelf next to a bunch of other lights for a group photo. My boys broke out into a fist fight in that room and being distracted by knocking their heads together, I forgot to put it back in the bag I was going to carry with me. Dratz.

Not interested in a 16650 MDC head but thanks anyway.

An MDC head doesn't need to be just for the 16650. It could also work with the 123A/16340 body as well. That would certainly get my attention. The illumination supply MDCs with Nichia are super tempting, and even though I do find 4000k nichias to be awesome, I'd like to try something a bit warmer.
Even just having the standard 3000k XPG2 emitter Gene already uses would be awesome. I've often wondered why that isn't available. Also strange to me you can't get a 123A body with head capable of running li-ion without purchasing them separately...

I'm wondering if gene thinks there is a market for a M361W on his site now.I showed mine to a few friends who are definitely NOT flashlight people "ya not sure why I'm friends with them" and they really liked it. And I'm pretty sure I'll need another one sooner or later. I know that's not a big number but think gene could sell these on his site.

Found my light...

In the bag it was supposed to have been in. Funny how that works sometimes. Looking right at the object you seek and thinking "now where the heck did I have it last?" ...

Host acquired for second drop in.

Classic MD2 hi/lo coming from the land down under.

Just want to throw an update out there.I have been using my 361W for awhile now and absolutely love it. It doesn't have the brightest and throw of my other Malkoff drop-in's but love the incandescent look of it.I was using it in a antique store in my home town "one of like five we have there" and it's always dark in stores like this and everything is always piled up and stacked in corners so a good light is mandatory. The owner actually asked me what kind of light I was using when I told him he was surprised the it was "one of them leds ". He thought it was an incandescent.

That's cool, I've been EDCing the 4000K and use the 3000K at night. I agree that these have the nicest tint of all the lights I own.
