For people asking about how payment is going to be received: I am going to front all of the money for all of the modules + emitter cost. When everything is said and done, I will take total cost and divide by total number of drop-ins to get a per drop-in cost. You will pay me at that time right before I ship the drop-ins.

Private message me on how you can pay me when the time comes, but until then, don't worry about it.

After receiving the finished product, you will have 30 days after I post in this thread to pay me or the drop-in becomes mine and I can do with it as I wish.

International shipments: I don't believe it will be a problem, but you are responsible for all customs and import fees etc and actual shipping. United States customers will be shipped vis USPS priority with tracking and have $50 insurance unless you want more (read: give me more money for insurance) insurance. Normal shipping for the flat rate small boxes is $8ish so expect around $75 for these drop-ins for domestic shipping.

Very much this. I couldn't have done it without everyone's help. This initial run of 18 dropping will be completely filled. I may run a few extra of the 4000k LEDs I threw in my order to make it an even 20... I am not sure. Maybe 25. Who knows. I think it will depend on how much my end of month bills happen to be at the time. All of the extras will be put on the market place that don't go to group buy participants.
I would be interested in a 4000K also.

2700-3500kis warm, 4000-4500k is neutral, 5000-5500k is neutral but has more blue and is usually associated with daylight, and 6000k+ is cool white and has a lot more blue in it.

I cannot speak for anyone else's M61W, but I will say that the one I own - which is supposed to be 3000K - is much closer to 4000K than it is to 3000K...more like 3999.99K. I am wholly disappointed in that dropin because I was thinking it would be close to incan like my XP-G2 HCRI2 dropin is.

I sure hope hope that this 219C is as advertised - 3000K. I've switched to that LED because I've never seen the XP-G3. The originally quoted XP-G2 would have, for me, ideal.

Given my M61W dropin experience, I now understand the disappointment in a customer's sigh when I tell them their "300's" car payment is really $398.79...

The older XP-G M61W was around 3700K and the original XP-G M61W was around 5000K. Are you sure yours isn't one of the older ones? The XP-G LED is mounted on a green board while the newer XP-G2 (3000K) is on a silver board.

So I just remembered to check my dropins...the boards on both my M61W and the M61 HCRI2 are white/silver; they are both XP-G2 LEDs. Plus, after checking my order history on the Malkoff website, I can see that I ordered the dropin in Sept of 2015. It is not 3000K. I ordered the HCRI2 from Illumination Supply in Nov of 2013. It is probably a bit warmer than 3000K. It is as close to a true incan in LED form that I've ever owned.

I sure hope this 219C is really 3000K and not "sorta, somewhat close, (but not really)" to 3000K like my M61W...

My m31lw is a beautiful tint. Won't swear it's perfectly 3000k but it does a great job. Works well in my c3 running 2xAA.

Looking forward to a warm 219c! Just ordered a lumens factory seraph to host it.

Please don't misconstrue what I'm saying; the tint is really nice on my M61W and I have it in a light that my wife uses almost daily. It is just not the 3000K that is is advertised at on the website. It may be very high 3-something, but it's not 3000K.

I'm just really saying that I hope this 219C that we are getting really is the 3000K it is advertised to be.;)

I have a HiCRI2 as well and the tint is spectacular, if I remember correctly they were supposed to be around 2900K.
