malkoff lens filter

I'm looking for a red lens filter for my MD2. Does the surefire model fit the MD2 head?

I asked Gene a similar question in an email a while back and got this reply:

"I believe the M34 diffusion filter will fit the MD2, but I'm not sure. The diameter of the bezel is 1.22 inches, a 6P is 1.25 inches."

My FM34 is too loose to work on my MD2 =( Maybe with some electrical tape or something. Other than that Im not sure if there is a production solution for this.
