Now if it ran on a single AA as well, we'd have Nirvana.
That is too much to ask of physics, and Gene.

.... We really need INFRNL back! I mean I know he’s still here but we need his expertise and time and patience. To explore this great find.
How long you think it will be before M91’s are out of stock on Malkoffs site now?

Do you still have that Super with the bat-shaped beam ?[emoji14]
Could a few people be so kind as to compare the beam quality of their various generations of M91's against these M91BN's ?
My first-generation M91N has the typical modest rings in the beam, as the original XM-L wasn't a perfect match for the M61 XP-G reflector.
This (XP-L2 ???) used in this latest 'BN' has a perfect beam w/ absolutely no artifacts, something I didn't expect.
What artifacts (if any) have people seen in their M91A's & M91B's - and did we perhaps get lucky with the emitter chosen for this latest Group Buy ?
And confirming my suspicion ...
The M91BN delivers ~30-40 lumens from 2xAA Alkalines (appearing ~ double the Pelican 1920 on its 22 lumen 'low' mode);
Runtime should be /substantial/ - alkaline cell chemistry can maintain close to its initial voltage for quite a while as long as drain rates are relatively low.![]()
Well 6 1/2 hours in and still going strong. I’d say 10-15 lumens and it is still very useful. No problem walking around in the dark with. But my butt is headed to bed so........
