Are those beam shots in stock form? The sft40 edition looks great!
Will we see vn beam shots and the p70vn version?

K65GTvn is a pencil beam thrower relative to this MK38vn with SFT40.

I am waiting to P70 LEDS to arrive so I can do a video review on this light.

  • K65GTvn SBT90.2 5700K DL #2s: 5150L, 830Kcd, 1822m
  • Stock SFT40 6500K @2s 16,500L, 500Kcd, 1414m
Yeah, I can imagine the K65GTvn would have a much narrower pattern, however the throw numbers don't seem thaaaat far apart. Once you start talking 500k... 800k... its just a level up isn't it? The bigger the numbers the less notable the increase as it's a smaller fraction of the overall number.

Can't wait to see pictures/videos of this new P70 LED in action!

830Kcd/500Kcd = 1.66
1822m/1414m = 1.29

100Kcd = 632m
400Kcd = 1265m

66% more intensity only equal 29% more beam distance. You need 4 times the intensity just to see twice as far due to the square root function.

Our eyes sees beam distances so yes the difference wont be much. However the difference in 3 times the output and and a much larger hot spot will make a huge practical difference.

Our eyes apertures also step down to protect itself so we see even less percentage of lumen the more lumen we have hahah

Do you think you could replace them with the XHP70.3 90+ CRI version?
