I'm so happy with mine, probably my current second favorite V54 light (can't quite dethrone the SLN). The D4Svn with W2's is one of my favorites when it comes to overall output and throw. This light basically improves on it in every way.

I've purchased one Fiat Lux light before from the one off listings, but this is my first Fiat Lux received by pure chance, and I couldn't be happier that it was for this particular light! I really regret not getting specs this time around, might even send it in someday to have measurements taken.

Right now I'm running it off of an Orbtronic rated at 30amp continuous discharge and it's very impressive. May try 30T and 40T, but I doubt my eyes will see any differences.

Photos are obviously post processed (especially the last one, makes the W2's look blue, which they most definitely are not) . The PHC on the bezel is so difficult to capture in photos, so I thought I'd use some editing to make it look more true to life. The PHC on this sample is one of my favorites thus far!

Thank you! I completely know where you are coming from, my hands weren't shaking, but my mouth fell open a little and I was at a bit of a loss for words. I just stood there for several seconds staring at it. My wife was watching me and was like "is something wrong with it?" I responded "no, nothing wrong.. but I just got a Fiat Lux!!" (she's very familiar with Vinh's work and has a few V54 lights herself)

Just got my light, love it so far and it is massively bright. Only two questions:

The 21700 adapter sleeve, is it supposed to move around? With my battery in there the sleeve bounces around, I'm not sure why they didn't make it the entire length of the tube. I know this isn't a Vinh issue, but figured someone here may know.

Do all of the spec sheets have the Fiat Lux on the back? I didn't get any engravings because I forgot honestly, but the back of my spec card does say Fiat Lux.

I think Vinh considers that the warranty card which is black, has the Skylumen logo in blue and Fiat Lux in red. On the other side, he writes the LED and or the specs if purchase. I thought this was the standard warranty card but maybe Vinh can chime in about whether that card comes with all the lights or not.

I too believe the shiny glittery card that says fiat lux on the logo side meant it was truly fiat lux! The first time I received that card was with my MicroGTvn, and it seems the last 3 lights I purchased all were fiat lux! Never bought the measurements or engraving for any though.

IIRC the backside of all skylumen cards say fiat lux. The only way to get a fiat lux light is to have engraving also ordered, and Vinh will engrave Fiat Lux on the light itself. The specs side of the card usually says Fiat Lux after the name of the light as well.

That makes sense and it kind of what I remembered. Also, my last 6-7 lights all have a Skylumen card with Fiat Lux print on the front BUT the spec side doesn't say Fiat Lux and it's not engraved on any of the lights. Besides, I'm a little weird about the Fiat Lux engraving. I love the concept of the mark but I'm not a huge fan of the Fiat Lux engraving looks on the light. Just a personal preference but I would find "FL" more appealing along with a "V54" mark, which I happen to love. I think the V54 mark is really cool.

This weekend I am going to go look for some PVC pipe to cut my own battery sleeve.

Made a new battery sleeve. 3/4" PVC pipe that I had to grind the middle out of so the 21700 would fit. Other than that, 3/4" OD fits the flashlight perfectly.

Nice! I've been using a high drain 26650 from mine, but was thinking about switching to a 30T for daily carry. What did you use to bore out the pvc?

I bought a grinding point that fit in my drill:

That did the brunt of the work, and then I glued two different grit sandpapers to a wooden dowel (well, one was for drywall but it's all I had) to smooth the inside out, and then sanded the ends to get it the perfect length since I made it about 1/4" longer than I needed to account of leveling it out.
