Hi,

I found a source of some very inexpensive Matterhorns and McKinleys in brass - and I picked up several brass 1-led Matterhorns in lug and keyring, for gifts. However, the McKinleys and Kilimanjaros were only available in brass with red leds - I was wondering how hard or if it was even possible, to swap out the leds on these bad boys?

Thanks!!

No problem. I haven't heard of too many people being able to mod Peak lights without some serious work. The electronics, if any, are probably potted in some really tough epoxy.

According to Dati-LED, the Pacifics are potted in epoxy and a pain in the tush to mod. But I just sent him two Caribbean lights (at least that's what I think they are) and they are potted in silicone. I'm upgrading both with a Khatod reflector and the new U bin Seoul LEDs.

I don't know about the Matterhorn or McKinley
