I e-mailed Maxpedition about what was new, and they mailed me their current flyer (it's labeled Spring 2007, which implies to me that they could have another catalog--with other new goodies?--later in the year). I'd also asked them about what their relation to Edgygear was, and it turns out that Edgygear is (now?) the parent company of both Maxpedition and Liger.
Now, for some specifics:
* Other than the much-discussed Pygmy Falcon II, which still isn't on the site, there were no new packs in this flyer.
* The "Three-By-Five" is simply a small zippered pocket (about 1.5" thick) that is, well, about the size of a 3x5 card. This pocket's zipper has the "Button-Lock secure closure". There is also what looks like a thin change/card pocket with a zipper on the front, and it appears like there's a thin open "slip pocket" on the front of that.
* The "Four-By-Six" is the same thing as the three by five, only the size of a, err, 4x6 card!
* The "Barnacle" is a small accordian pouch (4.5"x3.5"x1.5") much like the H-3 waistpack without the phone pocket (maybe a smidge larger than the pouch part of the H-3?)
* The "Anemone" looks like the Barnacle but this time with a phone holster on the front (4.5"x3.5"x2.5").
I did noticed that they changed the size computer that they say the Last Resort and Operator bags can hold: they now say Last Resort "Fits 14" laptop computer" (not 15 inch like the web site says), and that the Operator "Fits 15.4" laptop computer" (not 17"). Anyone who has one of these bags care to comment on this? I was considering an Operator, but I've got a 17".
All the pictures of the Jumbo and Fatboy now seem to show the velcro on the top (some are small, so it's hard to be sure), which matches the change Maxpedition has confirmed elsewhere, but there are conflicting pictures about the big main buckle on the Jumbo--two show no locking mechanism, one does show it.
I read a post over on the EDC Forums (http://edcforums.com/) that someone had contacted Maxpedition specifically to ask about new packs, and was told that there were several and they'd be unveiled when they had inventory on them (see the thread http://edcforums.com/index.php?topic=7703.0).
