I am looking for a way to securly carry my L4 and Gerber multi-tool, the maxpedition double sheath looks good but I am not sure if the fit will be right, anyone have any experience with these or any others that may suit my needs?

Hiya - My L4 and Leatheman Wave fit perfectly in a Maxpedition double sheath, and there's a fair bit of extra room around the Wave, so the slightly larger Gerber should fit fine. The double and single sheath have the same attachment mechanism, so the double is a little bit 'floppier' due to added width - you might consider if two singles would be a better fit for your needs - a bit less compact, a bit more flexible.

Deanster's advice is spot on. My G2 in a single sheath fits perfectly. An L4 will likely have a little extra room. IMHO the sheath is too big for the Wave. It sinks in too deep and it is not a snug fit.

The vertical & horizontal attachment points on the single sheaths are very versatile. That is why I went with two singles instead of the double.

My goal is to EDC my Gerber 400 and L4, and on occasion add my G2 for a bit of throw.. I am working on another idea that will be kinda coll too.
