MC61 2500 & 3500 + 1/2D CELLS

i've upgraded my MC61 with 1/2D cell and a FM34mm ext!

im using two packs

stock 2500mah nicd + 1/2D nicd cell

battery junction 3500mah nimh + 1/2D nimh cell

what sort of charging time is required for both upgraded packs!

according to FM the 2500mah stock pack takes 14-16hrs when empty, using the stock charging cradle & the 3500mah takes 24hrs when empty, using the stock charging cradle!

how long will it take to charge with the stock charging cradle using these:

stock 2500mah nicd + 1/2D nicd cell =

battery junction 3500mah nimh + 1/2D nimh cell =

Since stock charger is constant current and capable of charging 6 cells, no extra time needed for 6th cell and charger will work slightly harder. Charge time will be same as original 5 cell (14~16 hours) with 6 cell NiCad 2500mAh pack when empty.
charge time will be (18~21 hours) with 6 cell NiMH 3500mAh pack when empty.
Overcharging any kind of battereies are not recommended but NiCads can tolerate slight overcharge better than NiMHs
