1. Aside from price, what are the differences between the two?
2. If 100 lux, a 60 ohm resistor will result in how many average lux?
3. If 100 lux, a 30 ohm resistor will result in how many average lux?
4. If 100 lux, a 15 ohm resistor will result in how many average lux?
5. Does the McC2S work with twist caps (double twisting between hi/lo)?

Looking forwards to upgrading all my C-series tailcaps to McC2S ones ...

As posted elsewhere the resistor in series with the converter board takes the converter out of regulation. This is a unknown state for the converter or all converters for that matter.

There is no way to quantify what happens and how much it puts out.

Less resistance gives you more brightness and increasing the switch resistance decreases the brightness.

The same resistance value will give you different Lux values for identical converter board setup. It's not predictable.

If you want specific Lux levels then you need a regulated second level and the switch is not a regulated level that can be predicted.

For a boost converter the typical range is 2-15 ohms and for a buck converter the typical range is from 30-150 ohms.

The kit has just the various components in a bag. The assembled is ready to drop in.

Assembly is not difficult, as long as you have the proper hex key and perhaps a switch that is assembled as reference, or some experience with them. If it's your first McE2S, you might buy it assembled just for convenience.

I thought it was a site backend issue as I had originally planned to pick up two of each :duh2: . I suppose some is better than none :) ...

:paypal: for me too.

Hoping for 120-150 ohms sometime later since mine is pretty bright with a 60 ohm:whistle:
