Here you have a light with so many drop in options and so many battery options it’ll make your head spin. Is there another light that you can carry daily in your pocket that is as versatile? I think not. Yeah it’s big and yeah it’s heavy but everything else more than makes up for that.

I love being able to configure the md3 to what I anticipate needing it for during a given day. You can have it very bright with an m91b, throwy with a T or a long runtime general purpose with an m61. Oh you have some aa’s laying around? Pop in that m31 and away you go. Thanks Gene for making the best flashlight ever.

I'll second that. The possibilities will make your head spin. 18650 + CR123 dummy, 2xAA, 2x18500 are the cell combinations I most frequently use in the MD3 with various drop-ins, but the options certainly don't end there.
